I had the pleasure of attending a meeting of the San Jose Garden Club(http://sanjosegardenclub.com/) last month with Malin Ramirez. They are supporters of the La Mesa Verde program and some members have visited my garden.This was an opportunity to share with the whole group what we've been doing and our vision going forward. We also took advantage of their knowledge and got their advice on amending the soil this season, where to get soil and compost in bulk and anything else we could think of while we had the chance!
